The Ecomuseum is a living and dynamic place that celebrates and preserves the material and immaterial heritage of the community of Riolo Terme.

The first steps towards its creation date back to 2006 with the inauguration of Faenza Apennines Landscape Museum in Riolo Terme fortress.

In 2011, the Ark of Remembrance was created, a section dedicated to the memories of exceptional witnesses of Vena del Gesso Romagnola territory.

In 2017, an initial participatory process led to the creation of a founding pact and subsequently, in 2019, to the creation of the Community Map, which unites past, present and future.

The Ecomuseum aims to promote and pass on historical, artistic and artisanal knowledge, reflecting the colors and shades of the territory of Riolo Terme, known for its chalk and water. Citizens and the community play a key role in safeguarding the territory and promoting sustainable development, transmitting their identity through collaborative and synergic actions.

Welcome to a journey of sharing and valorizing our precious territory, where the past joins the present to build an exciting and meaningful future for all
